Maximal Oxygen Consumption (VO2 Max Test) – $150
This is a test that measures the maximum amount of oxygen that your body can consume during maximal exertion. It is used as an indicator of an individual’s cardiovascular fitness. Anaerobic Threshold (AT) can also be determined during this test. Results from this test can help develop an athlete’s training plan and target work rates.
At SportXcel, we are able to perform VO2 max tests on a cyclist’s personal bike or on a treadmill for runners.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) – $75
This is a test that calculates the amount of calories that an individual needs during rest to maintain normal body functions. This is the most accurate way to determine how many calories an individual needs to lose, maintain, or gain weight.
Measuring an individual’s body composition determines the percentage of fat and lean mass on their body. This measurement is helpful to know because ideal body fat percentages and lean muscle mass differ by gender, age, and sport.

Initial assessment (1 hour) – $75

Diet Analysis and Meal Planning
An individual’s macronutrient intake (protein, carbohydrate, fat) is determined. The analysis of an individuals diet can help identify areas that need improvement. This information is crucial for athletes to ensure maximum performance during athletic events as well as during recovery. Meal planning is also available in one- and four-week packages and is customized to an individual’s needs.
1 week meal plan – $30
4 week meal plan – $90
