Of all that science has taught us about a better way to train, one thing is perfectly clear: There is a sequence. Every workout should move through the same basic sequence:
- Warm-up
- Strengthen joints and other vulnerable tissues
- Turn up the heat with resistance and speed; and finally
- Train in complex functional movements, as you would in your sport.
