Back Injury Prevention and Core Stabilization

  • An 8-week module designed to improve key metrics of Back Health
  • Back Health targets injuries associated with core strength and balance. High risk activities include: lifting, pushing, prolonged standing/walking, and slips and falls (balance and recovery).
  • Four Assessments (Pre-, Mid-term, Post- and 1 Month Follow-Up Measurements) are performed to demonstrate progress in hip/spine/neck flexibility, balance, postural angles, perceived pain and days lost to injury;
  • Research-based activities designed to stabilize and strengthen the back are integrated into a program of twice weekly 50-minute sessions at a SportXcel facility, supplemented with “homework” stretching and strengthening workouts for 15 minutes daily.
  • The program is physician-supervised, with contributions by an onsite, licensed chiropractor, and are conducted by professionally certified coaches in groups of 10-12 adults for a high level of supervision and personal attention;
  • Results have demonstrated greater than 90% of participants gain significant improvements in key metrics, including joint flexibility and days lost to injury.
  • In addition, results of ongoing engagement demonstrate a continued commitment of program participants of up to 85%!

Weight Loss and Weight Management

  • An 8-week module designed to help clients lose and maintain weight
  • Weight Loss and Weight Management targets injuries and illness associated with insufficient physical activity – fatigue, joint sprains/strains, metabolic disorders (diabetes) and increased incidence of minor viral infections (flu/cough/colds)
  • Four Assessments (Pre-, Mid-term, Post- and 1 Month Follow-Up Measurements) are performed to demonstrate progress in pounds lost, waist and thigh measurements, resting heart rate, and days lost to illness or injury;
  • Research-based activities designed to raise the metabolic rate and reduce weight and inches are integrated into a program of twice weekly 50-minute sessions at a SportXcel facility, supplemented with “homework” of implementing nutritional recommendations as well as physical workouts for 15 minutes daily.
  • The program is physician-supervised, with contributions by an onsite, licensed nutritionist. Professionally certified coaches and licensed nutritionists conduct sessions in groups of 10-12 adults for a high level of supervision and personal attention;
  • Results have demonstrated greater than 95% of participants gain significant improvements in key metrics, including inches lost and days lost to illness or injury.
  • In addition, results of ongoing engagement demonstrate a continued commitment of program participants of up to 85%!

Cardiovascular and General Fitness

  • An 8-week module designed to help clients improve key metrics in cardiovascular health, including resting heart rate, endurance, strength and speed. The module targets clients seeking improvement in overall health and fitness who have limited opportunities for physical activity in work or activities of daily living;
  • Four Assessments (Pre-, Mid-term, Post- and 1 Month Follow-Up Measurements) are performed to demonstrate progress in health and productivity, including resting heart rate, and days lost to illness or injury;
  • Research-based activities designed to improve cardiovascular conditioning and general fitness are integrated into a program of twice weekly 50-minute sessions at a SportXcel facility, supplemented with “homework” of physical workouts and stretching for 20 minutes daily.
  • The program is physician-supervised;
  • Professionally certified coaches conduct sessions in groups of 10-12 adults for a high level of supervision and personal attention;
  • Results have demonstrated greater than 95% of participants gain significant improvements in key metrics, including resting heart rate and days lost to illness or injury.
  • In addition, up to 85% of program participants continue in some fitness program;
